Synopsis

Rabbit ronin Usagi's faced down more than his share of adversaries throughout his life, but none so fiercely skilled as the Tengu -- legendary mountain goblins reputed to be master swordsmen -- so skilled, in fact, that it's believed they imparted a small bit of their abilities to Yoshitsune, Japan's greatest hero. Determined to test his skills against the great Tengu of the Northern Mountain, a young and brash Usagi sets out to prove himself and quickly learns that his samurai's abilities are not up to the challenge. With his back against the wall, Usagi turns to his teacher and friend Katsuichi for help. But can even Katsuichi-sensei's skill with the blade be enough to defeat the great master? "Don't let the cute animals and cartoony style fool you--Stan Sakai can hold his own with any artist working today!" "Akira Kurosawa has got nothing on Stan Sakai when it comes to samurai action."
